LVACWS Portsmouth 2016 practice: home team advantage?

I feel like I should buy a lottery ticket. No offence locals of England, but I believe we have had five sunny summer days in a row, which meant for a little sea breeze this afternoon, and four practice races ahead of official racing tomorrow and Sunday. Could this be the first Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series event where we see a full program of racing? Here’s hoping! Land…

T hey say the years get faster, and this one has just flown by. It feels like more than a year and yesterday at the same time that the America’s Cup World Series was first raced in Portsmouth. She'll be sailing 'round the island - J.P. Morgan Round the Island Race

Wow! What a race, definitely one for the “bucket list”, the Round the Island Race. I think I “picked” the year to do it too, with plenty of breeze on, and plenty of action on board the winning First 40 La Reponse (you can find two live broadcasts from on board via Facebook below) as well as following the record-breaking win of the Mod 70 Phaedo 3. Check out the video, which…

My broadcast on the Nautical Channel Sports show on 17 June! Check out the previews for the Extreme Sailing Series and Kieler Woche, as well as reports on the Australian Sailing Team‘s progress leading into Rio 2016, and my personal concerns about Rio (not pollution but rather violence) following Liesl Tesch‘s confrontation in the streets of the Olympic city a fortnight ago&#8230…
