Day 1 of the Capital Insurance Brokers ACT Optimist Championships got underway today, with a record-breaking one design fleet of 126 boats on Lake Burley Griffin.

Was amazingly awesome to race with Dad on Sunday on our Tasar. We couldn’t find a park at Georges River 16ft Sailing Club, so launched from Kogarah Bay Sailing Club and sailed around to join their race.

An adventure training with whales

Dad and I were training off Ulladulla Harbour today when a whale breached right next to us (within 20 metres) just out of the heads.
We trimmed to avoid, and I grabbed the camera to get the second big tail slap! Very raw footage (and language, apologies to those who may be offended but it was amazing!).
