Marathons!

What a weekend!
I do like to push myself to the limit, and this time I may have almost… almost… gone too far!
I travelled to Canberra after work on Friday to take part in day one of the uni fleet racing regatta (freeeeezing!), only to leave late that night so that I could take part in the Peter Loft Marathon at BYRA on the Sunday!
The Peter Loft Marathon is in memorium of Peter Loft, and all of the work that he did to promote youth sailing on Pittwater. The course was from the BYRA sailing club, down Pittwater to round a channel mark almost to the heads, and back again!
I have included in the show the audio (video coming soon!) of our Le Mans start (pictured), where we ran from the shore to our boats! It was an absolutely hectic start, and so much fun! I am however; very lucky I did not drop my brand new iPhone 5 into the water…
On my show I also did interviews with Pittwater locals; Nina Curtis, Olympic silver medalist (and our European roving reporter), and Jim Colley and Shaun Connor on their fundraising sail from RPAYC to Sydney!
