This edition of the Volvo Ocean Race is done! Was fantastic to catch up with Stacey Jackson, of Team SCA; a fellow sailor girl, someone I have sailed with, and a friend after SCA’s second in the In-Port race today, moving them to the podium for the series! What an adventure! Enjoy xx
Hilary Lister – How sailing can give you wings…
A lot of us go sailing because of the freedom we experience… Well… Hilary Lister is a sailor girl who says that being on the water “gives her wings”. A quadriplegic, Hilary has sailed the English Channel, circumnavigated the UK, and now is doing ocean crossings. One amazingly passionate sailor girl on her own adventure. Just imagine if more people could discover the “freedom” of sailing? Sailor Girl xx
A catch up with Charlie and Will over coffee in Sweden
Had a great catch up over coffee with Charlie and Will today, still on a high after their win in leg 9, but getting back to business leading the In-Port race which will decide whether they finish fourth or fifth overall. We chatted about the team, about how others might be able to develop themselves to get involved with the race, and also whether we will see them attack Mapfre in the In-Port race on Saturday!
