So… Apparently my gift for speaking can sometimes be put to good use, especially when it comes to talking about sailing – occupational win!
Sit back, and listen in to the “silence” that I was happy to fill on the dock in Auckland… It was a strange atmosphere; with a four day delay, the Volvo Ocean Race village was a see of containers, there were no crowds, just media, and the mood was almost reverent as the sailors prepared to head out into the Southern Ocean…
Oh and prepared for some standard “Douglass” banter!
