Creating legends

This week I raced on Zippier again, my favourite Thompson 8 class boat, and I had such a blast with the rest of the crew.
Thanks to having a bit more free time I have been able to do a bit more sailing with the team this winter, which is lovely. I’ve known the team for quite a long time but haven’t really had the time to sail consistently with them, until this season.
We raced in the CYCA Winter Series, and we even had a ride on some tugboat waves!
I’ve got stacks of video footage, and I have included the audio in my show for this week.
This week was an amazing show focussing on the talent that we have here in Australia. Darren ‘Twirler’ Jones, a show regular called in from the farm, ahead of going to the Farr 40 Worlds. Josh Chant, the founder of 33 South Racing had a chat with me about the scholarship program and where the program is headed (included an Extreme 40). Iain Murray, took some time out of his busy schedule to chat about the new North Sails radial Etchells mainsail and the America’s Cup. I covered my adventures with Zippier!

Here’s to more wintery sailing adventures!
Remember that legends are not born, they are created through hard work and dedication…
Until next time!
