I made sure we had a Canberra Yacht Club sticker on the boat yesterday to help us with the shiftiness that is Cascade Locks. Very like Canberra, except there is current, and it is windy every day! We have made it to gorgeous Cascade Locks, the destination of the 2013 Tasar Worlds. The club is about 30 minutes drive from Portland, the capital of Oregon, which is north of California, and south of Washington state on the West coast of the USA… surrounded by mountains on both sides… it really does just take your breath away! We managed to get on the water for the first time…

It is now less than four daysuntil I fly to the USA for the Tasar Worlds at Cascade Locks. The planning has been going well, training even better – and it is hard to believe that in a month the regatta will already be over! Well we made it through the first week of autumn. The Friday rush really is an awesome high to get in the mood for the weekend isn’t it!?
