Day 1 at the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series in New York was exceptionally tough on competitors, organisers and the spectators who were let down by a fading sea breeze which just wasn’t strong enough to battle the fast-flowing Hudson River.
In the first start of the day, the whole fleet was over the line early due to current, except for Artemis Racing, who was then one of two…
Today the Endeavour Program that aims to take sailing to communities involved with the America’s Cup, as first launched in Bermuda, was also introduced to New York.
Tucker Thompson and Russell Coutts welcomed the kids, with the Auld Mug in attendance, and a sailor from each team met with the young sailors before they headed out on the water.
I was lucky enough to chat with a group of kids…

It was fantastic to be shown around by Alex Padgett, the coach at Rush Creek Yacht Club (thanks Sammy Hodges for the intro)…

A big thanks to the Milton Ulladulla Times for catching up with me this morning at one of “my” other Harbours… Ulladulla…
