35th Club Marine Pittwater to Coffs Yacht Race

First adventure for 2016 is underway, the 35th Club Marine Pittwater to Coffs Yacht Race starting on the dot at 1300 AEST today off Barrenjoey Head north of Sydney, Australia. Thanks to Michael Chittenden for the amazing images from up on the headland!
I was on the ground at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club to interview the competitors and officials before racing, and then out on the water to commentate the start on radio, and also Periscope.
The interviews are available below including (in order), Peter Schwartz (Espresso Forte), Karl Kwok (on team Beau Geste), Michael Martin (Frantic TP52 on the Rolex Sydney Hobart retirement), the Le Billet team (good banter), Tom Spithill (Pretty Woman aka ‘Sailor Boy’) with Murray Gordon and #BillySykes (Swish) for an awesome catch up, definitely worth watching right through!

You can listen to the commentary live below or watch the Periscope feed here.

Next adventure starts tomorrow… Off to Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron for the Australian Sports Boat Association National Championships on the new REO 7.2!
Will keep you posted!
