Interviews for the John Calvert-Jones opening day of the Rolex Farr 40 Worlds 2016. Interviews with Jeff Carter of Edake, who is fourth overall and won race 3, Helmut and Evan Jahn from Flash Gordon 6 who won race 1, and are third overall (tied for second), Alex Roepers of Plenty who is leading overall, and Wolfgang Schaefer of Struntje Light who is in second overall.

The 2014 Farr 40 world champion Plenty (Alex Roepers, USA), increased its lead in second day of the Sydney Open championship with continued consistency in a fleet of boats very evenly matched for speed.

The Farr 40 Sydney Open regatta, a warm-up for the world championship next week, opened in a light and shifty breeze on Sydney Harbour today with different winners in three short-course races and boats at the front of the 12-boat fleet taking their turn at the back.

MC38 Nationals 2016: Day 2 was addictive!

Day 2 of racing for the MC38 Nationals was just addictive. Tactical and tight, all the way around the track, and man was it great to be in amongst the action (plenty of on water footage!).
Today I spoke with Murray Gordon, the tactician from Vino, a new team for him after several seasons with Dark Star. The team managed a win in the first race today.

The MC38 Nationals kick off in Australia from today through until Sunday, and I jumped at the chance to have a sail with Dark Star in their final training session before the event!
What an amazing (and seriously gorgeous) boat !

Farr 40 Nationals 2016 wraps up ahead of 'Downunder' Worlds

The Farr 40 Australia Nationals was an awesome event, showing a great resurgence for the class in Australia ahead of the Worlds which will be held out of the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron not this, but next week. Ten boats, tight racing and multiple heat winners made for three days of down to the wire racing.
